Reviews
Cute, no frills location that is good for a quick stop when nearby. I come here often with the kids after sports. They love the tosti and the rania. I personally tried something new today - the shakshouka… not worth repeating as they use mostly eggplant and courgette - both not being original ingredients. In addition the sauce was so runny and the bread can only be described as a shoesole shaped flour product rather than flatbread. So dipping the bread into the sauce wasn’t possible. Big disappointment. But otherwise location is fine as long as your expectations of food and service are limited.
Disappointing menu. Food average. Overrun by mice.
We went on a Wednesday after a day at the near by lake. 3 kids and 3 adults. Menu was very small. We had fish burger which was fine but the sides were tiny. Rose is 32 euro a bottle.
Service was good but the place is overrun by mice. 2 under our table (outside), 2 more by the doors to the terrace and more running near to where the kids were playing. Really off putting - no sign of any attempt to deter them. Won't be back which is a shame as the location is perfect.
After not having gone to that spot in the last 3 years, I went back as I used to love that place for both a drink as well as to grab a bite...
This time I ended up disappointed.
The cleanliness (multiple rats running on the terrace!!) and the vibe of the place have decreased tremendously. I would not have eaten something there. On top, I find that 5,10EUR for a chai latte that was beyond sugary/artificially tasting not matching...
Staff is friendly and often asking whether everything is ok/something to be ordered.
This’s a very different modern place on New-West Amsterdam. I like a lot their unique concept, friendly staff and good food. It is nice to spend time outside on their terrace at a summer day.
But always there’s a but:) there you need to accept the fact they are slow, just wait and wave a waitress.
And second, they used to make a good hotel buiten burger. Like very good: smoky, juicy, with the soul. Now it is gone. 3+ out 5.
The fish burger is good us usual, well done and it’s hard to make good fish burger so 4+ out 5.
The house lemonade is too simple for quite high price.
Anyway it nice unusual place to have a lunch or drinks.
We stopped here for a brunch. I ordered the eggs Benedict with salmon. The service was a bit slow, but it was very busy and they were very friendly. The food, coffees and bubbles were quite good and the outdoors seating space is really nice.
Great location but worthless service and food to expensive for what you get...
Don't expect anything from the waiting staff. Taking your order is already to much for them!!!
Wish you all success you make us horeca people look great. Good job
The worst Appletart of my life! It was still frozen as if put of the Freenet. When we complained about it they took it back to warm it up. It was still frozen at the center. And when we asked for some cream the waiter just sprayed some on our Plage from a can. Such a beautyful place but such bad service!
The food is good, the staff was really kind. Nice place to relax. Today I had a confit de canard.. it was delicious.. the duck was really tasty. I love this place....
